The BSc Microbiology course has been running from JUNE 2016 by semester system. The course would be of 3 years duration. Divided into three parts – Part I , Part II and Part III. Each part would be consist of two Semesters. Each semester would comprise of two theory papers and practical during the term end. Microbiology is a study of bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi and general microbiology.

The main paper included in the three years course are Biochemistry, Cell Cytology, General Microbiology, Immunology, Food and Industrial Microbiology, Genetics, Virology, Medical Microbiology, Agriculture and Environment Microbiology.

SALIENT FEATURES OF DEPARTMENT -

  •  Innovative teaching methods including Seminars by students, Videos, Animations, Skits, Group discussion and Quiz.
  •  Overall student development (Activities includes subject based competition, Poster presentation, Model making, Debates and essay writing ) Guest lectures and educational visits.
  •  Students interested in pursuing short projects are allow to explore and perform experiment under guidance of the staff members.
  •  Well equipped laboratories, access to reference books.

  •  Acquire requisite skills in use and care of basic microbiological equipments.
